Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I look for in a good insurance policy?
  • How do I know if I have enough for my family?
  • What if I break an arm in central Texas, but my doctor is in South Texas?
  • Will my vision insurance replace the contact lens my child lost in the show ring?

These are the kinds of questions we are happy to answer every day for the ranchers and their families we serve through TSCRA Insurance Services, Inc.

Q: Can I pay my premium with my credit card?

A: TSCRA Insurance Services does not accept credit card payment due to the high fees we are charged. Good news, TSCRA will accept check by phone payments. This will allow members to get their premiums in before late charges are incurred. We will need your bank routing number, account number and the check number. This service will be free to our members.

Q: Will I be penalized if I use an out of network doctor or hospital in an emergency?

A: No. The important thing is that you receive medical attention. Arrangements will be made later, if needed.

Q: Do I need a referral to see a specialist?

A: Most products TSCRA Insurance offers are PPO plans that do not require a referral to see a specialist. If an HMO product was purchased, then a primary physician and referral would be needed.
